Getting to Know UCAN [For Teachers]

1. To effectively assist students in understanding their career development direction, and to enhance their workplace-related competencies with clearer goals and motivation, the Ministry of Education launched the "University and College Employment Competency Assessment Network (UCAN)" in 2009. In line with the data reporting requirements of the Higher Education Sprout Project, this center has planned in-class testing for first-year students during their orientation training. Additionally, surveys and testing for second- to fourth-year students are conducted at the beginning of each semester. The testing schedule is arranged by the respective class advisors, and it is recommended to align the testing time with required courses or class meetings. The estimated testing time is approximately 20 minutes.

2. If teachers and their students are unable to participate in the in-class testing during the period planned by this center, they may independently conduct UCAN group assessments during class meetings or at other times. Please refer to the UCAN Testing Operation Guide (click here) for detailed instructions. The testing items for each year level and the login credentials for students are as follows:

If login issues occur, please visit the Career Counseling Center webpage under "Career Planning (UCAN)" to fill out the online
"UCAN Testing Error Report Form (Click Here)." Once resolved, a notification will be sent to the student's email, and they can proceed with the test independently.

 

3. If class advisors, teachers, or departments wish to reference UCAN test data to guide students in career planning, they must apply for a teacher management account in the system.

(1) Application Methods:

(2) Account Creation: Once the account is created, a notification will be sent via email. There is no deadline for applications; teachers may apply at any time as needed.

(3) ⚠️Important Reminder: UCAN testing data is strictly for the purpose of student career guidance. If any misuse of data is identified, the applicant will bear related legal responsibilities.
