Ching Pao Ching Labor Foundation 2023 Second-Half Semester Part-Time Work Program Application Guidelines

  1. Organizing Institution:
    Ching Pao Ching Social Welfare and Charity Foundation

  2. Eligibility for Applicants:
    Open to university students from first-year to fourth-year (or equivalent to the 4th to 5th year of a specialized program).

  3. Part-Time Work Organizations:
    The part-time positions will be at social welfare organizations designated by the Ching Pao Ching Labor Foundation, including early intervention centers, senior health and vitality centers, and elderly welfare institutions.   4. Application Process:

    • (1) The application will be fully conducted online. Please apply by August 31, 2023 (Thursday) on the Ching Pao Ching Foundation's official website http://www.prodiligence.org.tw, create an account, fill out your resume and application materials, and upload supporting documents.
    • (2) Required supporting documents:
      • Mandatory:
        • Official transcript for the second semester of the 2022 academic year or the most recent semester (must be a transcript with the school's official seal).
        • Copy of student ID (front and back) or proof of enrollment (must include the 2022 academic year registration seal; if the student ID does not have the registration seal, provide proof of enrollment).
      • Optional (non-mandatory):
        • Proof of low-income or middle-low income status (if applicable), recommendation letter from a teacher, disability certificate, or Ching Pao Ching Scholarship award certificate, etc.
    • (3) The Foundation reserves the final right to accept or reject applicants. The final list of selected candidates will be announced by the Foundation.
  5. Part-Time Work Period:

    • From October 2023 to January 2024. The work will be part-time, with a minimum of 4 hours per session, at least 8 hours per week (up to 20 hours per week), and at least 32 hours per month (up to 80 hours per month). Exact working hours will be confirmed after acceptance.
  6. Part-Time Work Salary:

    • According to the Ministry of Labor's announced minimum wage, NT$176 per hour. The work organization will also provide labor and health insurance and contribute to labor retirement pensions for part-time workers.
  7. Part-Time Work Responsibilities:

    • Tasks may include clerical work, teaching assistance, administrative support, home visits, and other related duties. For a detailed list of work organizations, please visit the Foundation's official website for the full list.
  8. Obligations of Part-Time Workers:

    • (1) After review and selection, students will be arranged for interviews at one of the assigned organizations based on their preferences.
    • (2) Once selected, part-time workers may not withdraw without valid reasons. Applicants must submit health checkup reports and other related documents as required by the assigned organization. After completing the part-time work period and a comprehensive performance evaluation, the Foundation will subsidize the cost of the health checkup.
    • (3) Part-time workers must fulfill their job responsibilities. If they discontinue their work without reason, are absent without permission, or violate major regulations, they will be disqualified from future applications for this program.
    • (4) The first week of work will serve as a probation period. If the worker's attitude is poor or they fail to complete assigned tasks, the organization has the right to terminate the work contract and replace the worker with the next candidate on the list.
    • (5) Part-time workers are required to submit a reflection report (at least 800 words) via the online platform before the end of their work term. The report should include (1) thoughts and feelings about the work, (2) the concepts and spirit learned, (3) self-reflection, and (4) suggestions. Part-time workers are also encouraged to record a 30–60 second video to share their experiences and upload it to the Ching Pao Ching Facebook for wider sharing.
  9. Announcement of Selected Candidates:
    The list of selected part-time workers will be posted on the Foundation's official website. Those who are not selected will not be notified separately.
