Ministry of Labor: Industry New Talent Program - 2nd Semester Courses Application Period from March 1 to March 31, 2024.

Ministry of Labor, Workforce Development Agency: Industry New Talent Program - Eligible Individuals Are Welcome to Apply!

1. Objective: To assist youth in seizing national industrial development opportunities and acquiring key technological skills in the 5+2 industries and manufacturing sectors with growth potential, thereby supporting youth employment.

2. Target Audience: Unemployed or job-seeking youth aged 15 to 29 who are nationals of Taiwan (based on the course start date).

3. Training Units:

(1) Central government authorities and their delegated units.

(2) Foundations funded by central government authorities.

(3) Legally registered industrial and commercial associations.

(4) Higher education institutions.

4. Training Categories: The training should align with the development of the 5+2 Industry Innovation Program and can cover five major fields: Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Industrial Machinery, Digital Information, Green Energy Technology, International Marketing and Planning.

5. Steps for Youth Participation:

(1) Register Information: Before applying for the program, youth must register as members of "Taiwan Jobs" (email will be used as an important communication channel, so please ensure it's accurate), and complete the "Career Interest Exploration Test" at https://exam.taiwanjobs.gov.tw/jobexam/L03/L0301.

(2) Confirm Eligibility: Download or print the "Application and Training Eligibility Affidavit" from the program section, read the affidavit and related instructions, sign or stamp it, and submit it to the training unit (https://elite.taiwanjobs.gov.tw/).

(3) Prepayment: Pay a training fee of NT$10,000 (self-contribution) to the training unit.

(4) Training Feedback: The training unit will report participation details online based on the enrolled list.

6. Subsidy Amount: The maximum subsidy for training fees is NT$100,000 (including the participant's self-contribution).

7. Subsidy Method:

 

(1) For training fees up to NT$100,000, the Ministry of Labor will advance the remaining training costs after deducting the participant's self-contribution.

(2) If a youth obtains the course completion certificate and attends at least two-thirds of the total training hours, and subscribes to employment insurance within 90 days from the day after the completion date, they can apply to the branch office for a subsidy of NT$10,000 for the self-contribution.

8. Other Important Notes:

(1) Youth can only participate in the program once. If they withdraw from or drop out of the training, or have participated in the Industry New Talent Program trial, they cannot join again.

(2) Youth must attend at least two-thirds of the total course hours.

(3) Youth who participate in pre-employment training provided by the Ministry of Labor or affiliated branches and local governments within 180 days after completing the training are not eligible for this program.

(4) Youth cannot participate in this program while receiving other vocational training from the Ministry.

(5) Youth whose qualifications are not approved by the branch must pay the training fees themselves.
