1. Program Objective
The National Science and Technology Council is promoting the "Industry Innovation Talent Overseas Training Program" (X Talent Program, hereinafter referred to as "the Program"), which is executed by the National Applied Research Laboratories' Science and Technology Policy Research and Information Center. This program aims to align with the government's key industry development policies and the nation's forward-looking technology strategies. It seeks to select and send promising industry-academic innovation seed talents abroad to gain knowledge of cutting-edge technologies, innovative business models, and international strategies. The goal is for the trained talents to apply what they have learned to the domestic industry, helping with industrial transformation, technology development, and innovation capabilities, thus strengthening Taiwan's global competitiveness in technology and industry.
2. Target Applicants
The program is seeking senior talents passionate about contributing to Taiwan's industrial innovation development. Applicants should be interested in forward-looking technologies, business models, and international strategy development in overseas companies. They should actively expand their networks, explore new fields of knowledge, and be able to interact effectively with professionals from different cultural and technical backgrounds.
3. Application Eligibility
- Nationality: Applicants must be Republic of China (Taiwan) citizens.
- Age: Applicants must have been born on or after January 1, 1985.
- Education and Experience: There are no specific educational or professional requirements, but applicants should have a solid understanding of the overseas company they wish to apply to and the necessary technical skills. They must demonstrate development potential and a strong desire to challenge themselves. Relevant documentation must be provided during the application.
- English Proficiency: Applicants must be able to engage in smooth conversations with native English speakers in both academic and daily life environments. Applicants should provide proof of English proficiency, including one of the following:
- TOEIC score of 785 or higher
- TOEFL ITP score of 543 or higher / TOEFL iBT score of 72 or higher
- IELTS score of 5.5 or higher
- GEPT High Intermediate or above
Note: If the English proficiency test score was obtained before 2023, applicants must retake the test and submit the updated results before the application deadline.
- Other Skills: Applicants must be proactive, independent thinkers, and able to collaborate well in teams. They should also be willing to engage with professionals from diverse cultural and technical backgrounds and be enthusiastic about applying their learning to contribute practically to Taiwan's industry.
- Preferred Background: Those who have participated in the National Science Council's industry-academic collaboration programs (such as the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program, the Seed Program, or the FITI program) will be given priority.
4. Application Process

- Ensure all information is submitted before the application deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Complete the online application form in both Chinese and English, and upload relevant supporting documents.
- Applicants must provide two references and include their contact information in the application system. The program office will contact the references for verification.
- Once the online application is submitted, it cannot be modified. Please ensure all required fields are completed and all attachments are included before submission.
