
1. Basis: Implemented in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s Guidelines for Subsidies Encouraging Domestic Colleges and Universities to Send Students Abroad for Study or Professional Internship (hereinafter referred to as the Guidelines).
2. Purpose:
(1) Dream-Building Overseas Study: Through international cooperation channels, select students to participate in internships at enterprises or institutions abroad (excluding New Southbound countries, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau). The university will arrange internship institutions and plan internship fields to enrich internship courses, implement the integration of learning and application, and strengthen career and life guidance.
(2) New Southbound Dream-Building Overseas Study: Select students to participate in internships at enterprises or institutions in New Southbound countries with development potential, in order to help domestic students better understand the lifestyles and cultural backgrounds of these countries, and to contribute to cultivating deeper relations and cooperative development with them in the future.
3. Eligibility:
(1) Project Principal Investigator (PI): Must be a full-time faculty member of this university. One co-PI may be appointed, who must also be a full-time or part-time faculty member of this university.
(2) Selected Students:
Must hold the nationality of the Republic of China (Taiwan), have household registration in Taiwan, and be an enrolled student at this university for at least one semester. In-service master’s programs (domestic or overseas) are excluded.
Must meet the university’s required professional and language proficiency standards.
Students from other universities may be selected, provided they submit a consent letter from their home university allowing them to participate in this university’s overseas internship program during their enrollment.
During the overseas internship period, students must retain their enrollment status at this university. Leave of absence or withdrawal is not permitted. Students must report back to the university after the internship. Violations will result in the university reclaiming the subsidy in accordance with the administrative contract and returning it to the Ministry of Education.
Each applicant may receive subsidies only once at the same educational level.
4. Application Method:
(1) Submission Deadline: From now until September 1, 2025 (Monday), 5:00 PM. The PI must complete the project proposal according to the required format and submit the Word file electronically to the Career Counseling and Alumni Service Center. The proposal must be approved by the department/faculty meeting before submission.
(2) Faculty members interested in applying for this program should contact the Center in advance to facilitate follow-up procedures.
