National Quemoy University Outstanding Alumni Selection Guidelines (Academic Year 2026 – 4th Award)

Award Categories and Selection Criteria

Graduates or former students from all departments, programs, and classes of the University’s daytime programs and continuing education programs who identify with their alma mater and have made significant contributions or achieved outstanding accomplishments in the following areas may be nominated as candidates. Nominees must also have no criminal record within the past five years and demonstrate exemplary achievements worthy of recognition.

1. Contribution to Alma Mater Category
Individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the University’s teaching, services, technological innovation, fundraising for education, or institutional development.

2. Social Service Category
Individuals who have demonstrated outstanding performance or contributions through various forms of social service.

3. Other Contributions Category
Individuals selected by the Outstanding Alumni Selection Committee who have made special contributions not included in the categories above.

Nomination Methods

Candidates may be nominated through one of the following methods:

1. Recommendation by the Alumni Association or departmental alumni associations.
2. Recommendation by an academic department/program approved through a departmental/program meeting.
3. Joint nomination by five or more faculty or staff members of the University.
4. Recommendation by the head of the nominee’s affiliated organization.
5. Joint nomination by ten or more alumni.

Please submit the nomination documents in person or by mail to the Employment Counseling and Alumni Services Center by 12:00 PM, Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Documents Required for Preliminary Review

☐ One original copy of the Outstanding Alumni Award Nomination Form and the Word file version
☐ Copy of the nominee’s National Quemoy University graduation certificate
☐ Copy of the nominee’s highest academic degree certificate
☐ Supporting documents demonstrating the nominee’s outstanding achievements (within 20 pages in principle)
☐ Police Criminal Record Certificate (proving no criminal record within the past five years)
☐ Personal Data Provision Consent Form

(All documents should be bound in A4 format.)

Recognition Ceremony

Outstanding alumni will be publicly recognized and presented with an award plaque during the University Anniversary Ceremony each year.
