National Pingtung University is organizing a Three-Day Unmanned Fixed-Wing Aircraft Workshop and welcomes eligible students to apply. The workshop adopts a hands-on university-level learning approach to introduce participants aged 15 and above to the fundamentals of aircraft, microcontroller control, network communications, and flight testing procedures.
In addition to completing the construction of a 90-cm high-wing fixed-wing aircraft, the workshop emphasizes engineering thinking through design, documentation, verification, and modification, helping participants develop cross-disciplinary integration and problem-solving skills.
Course Information
- Dates: August 17–19, 2026 (Monday–Wednesday)
- Time: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:30 PM–4:30 PM each day
Total: 18 hours
- Venue: Hands-on Workshop Classroom 101, Jingye Building, Pingshi Campus, National Pingtung University
No. 1, Linsen Rd., Pingtung City
- Enrollment: 24 participants; registration will close once all spots are filled.
Course Fees
- Individual Registration: NT$11,000 per person
- Group Registration (3 participants): NT$9,900 per person
- Local Subsidy: A subsidy of NT$1,000 per person is available to students currently studying in Pingtung, residents registered in Pingtung, and those who meet the eligibility requirements for subsidies from the Southern Pingtung Science Education Center.
- Students from Low-Income or Financially Disadvantaged Families: Those approved by the organizer may participate free of charge. Up to 3 participants will be accepted under this arrangement, and relevant supporting documents must be provided.
