【Basis】

This announcement is issued in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s Guidelines for Subsidizing Domestic Colleges and Universities to Send Students Abroad for Study or Professional Internships, revised on November 4, 2025 (hereinafter referred to as “the Guidelines”).

【Purpose】

1. Overseas Internship Program
To select and send students to enterprises or organizations in countries other than New Southbound countries for professional internships through international cooperation programs. Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao are excluded. The University will arrange internship organizations and fields, enhance internship programs, promote the integration of academic learning and practical experience, and strengthen career and life guidance.

2. New Southbound Overseas Internship Program
To select and send students to enterprises or organizations with development potential in New Southbound countries for professional internships, enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of the culture, lifestyle, and background of these countries and facilitating future cooperation and relationship-building.

The 18 New Southbound countries include Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Brunei, Thailand, Myanmar, the Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Australia.

【Eligibility】

1. Program Principal Investigator
The principal investigator must be a full-time faculty member of National Quemoy University. One co-investigator may be appointed, who must be a full-time or adjunct faculty member of the University.

2. Selected Students

1. Must hold Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality, have household registration in Taiwan, and have been enrolled at the University for at least one semester. Students enrolled in domestic or overseas in-service programs are not eligible.
2. Must meet the University’s requirements regarding professional and language proficiency.
3. Students from other universities may be selected to participate, provided that a written consent form from their home university approving their participation in the University’s overseas internship program is submitted.
4. Students must maintain their student status at the University throughout the overseas internship and may not take a leave of absence or withdraw. Upon completion of the internship, students must report back to the University. Those who fail to comply will be required to repay the subsidy received in accordance with the administrative contract and reimburse the Ministry of Education.
5. Each applicant may receive the subsidy only once at each educational level.

【Application Procedure】

Application Period: From now until 5:00 PM, September 1, 2026 (Tuesday).

Faculty members interested in submitting an application should complete the internship proposal and required attachments using the prescribed formats and submit the electronic files to the Employment Counseling & Alumni Services Center by the deadline. The Center will compile the applications and process them after approval by the relevant department/college meetings.
