
This matter is handled in accordance with the Ministry of Labor’s letters dated July 30, 2025 (Ref. No. 1140511647D) and July 31, 2025 (Ref. No. 1140511224B).
The aforementioned provisions were amended and promulgated by the Ministry of Labor through Orders No. 1140511647A dated July 30, 2025, and No. 1140511224A dated July 31, 2025. The key amendments are as follows:
(1) Revised the scope of work for family caregiving and mid-level skilled family caregiving positions.
(2) Revised the conditions under which employers hiring foreign workers for family caregiving or mid-level skilled family caregiving positions are exempt from professional assessment by medical institutions.
(3) Revised the eligibility requirements allowing foreign workers employed as family caregivers to accumulate up to 14 years of employment in Taiwan.
(4) Revised the evaluation criteria for accumulating 14 years of employment as foreign family caregivers and the language proficiency requirements for mid-level skilled workers in the social welfare sector.
(5) Revised the training requirements for international and overseas Chinese students seeking employment in hospitality services, adding relevant tourism and hospitality knowledge and skills training courses provided by employers.
(6) Revised the application procedures and required documents for employers hiring foreign workers in accordance with the above amendments.
The promulgation orders and amended provisions contain important information concerning employment in Taiwan after graduation for overseas Chinese students. Please assist in widely disseminating this information to overseas Chinese students.
