 Claims Q&A

Q1. The beneficiary of the death insurance benefit is the legal heir. Which relatives are they?

Article 1138 of the Civil Code stipulates: "Legal heirs and their order." Heirs, except spouses, inherit in the following order:
1. Direct blood relatives (children). 2. Parents. 3. Brothers and sisters. 4. Grandparents.
Regardless of the order of succession, the heir must inherit jointly with the "spouse" of the deceased.

Q2. How many days does the claim settlement process take?
After the insurance company receives the claim application and the attached documents, it will make payment within 14 days after reviewing the case and verifying that it is correct.

Q3. What is the deadline for claim application?
The rights arising from this insurance will be extinguished if it is not exercised for 2 years from the date of request.

Q4.What is an accident? Can I apply for compensation for suicide?
Accidental injuries refer to external and sudden accidents not caused by diseases.
"Suicide" is an intentional act by the insured and is one of the exclusions (causes) of this insurance. The company is not responsible for paying insurance benefits.

Q5. If a student unfortunately suffers from COVID-19, can he be compensated? The
coverage of this policy only covers accidents. The so-called accidents include sudden accidents not caused by diseases, so COVID-19 is not covered by this contract.
