1. In the digital economy and fintech industries, the cultivation of cybersecurity talent is crucial. The university’s Industry-Academic Cooperation Office, in collaboration with Google, is promoting the "Cybersecurity Talent Development Program." This program helps students develop high-demand skills required for basic cybersecurity roles and obtain relevant practical certifications. It helps bridge the skills gap in this field and greatly benefits students in their employment and lifelong learning. It also addresses industry needs and provides better job opportunities for students. We hope to work with Google to promote this international-level course and certification, fostering key competencies for students to enter global companies and contributing to solving Taiwan's cybersecurity talent shortage.

2. The program offers Google’s free "Google Cybersecurity Certificate" (GCC) course to students. The GCC, designed and taught by Google cybersecurity experts, covers eight major topics: risk identification, network and device protection, incident response, Linux, SQL, Python tools for cybersecurity analysts, and workplace communication skills. The course totals 181 hours, including videos, readings, quizzes, and practical exercises. The course can be completed flexibly over 4 to 6 months. In addition to course knowledge, the program provides career preparation and workplace communication training to help students gain practical experience.

3. Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in any university or college in Taiwan with a TOEIC score of at least 550 (or equivalent qualifications).

4. Course duration: From July 1, 2024 (Monday) to December 31, 2024 (Tuesday), totaling 6 months.

5. Online course: Coursera platform online course.

6. Participant limit: 500 online spots, with 50 additional spots on the waiting list.

7. Registration period: From now until June 27, 2024 (Thursday) 5:00 PM (registration may close earlier if the spots are filled).
