Economic Daily News, 【8th Entrepreneur Star Selection Contest】Event Plan

1. The Economic Daily News, under the United Daily News Group, is hosting the "8th Entrepreneur Star Selection Contest" and invites university teams to participate.

2. The purpose of this event is to discover Taiwan's most promising future stars in various industries, accelerate entrepreneurial development, and enhance visibility. It gathers promising company teams to facilitate exchanges and referrals, providing more opportunities for investment and collaboration.

3. This contest includes a student category, which follows the same registration process as new startup companies. Teams from universities and research institutions approved by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan are eligible to participate.

5. Categories for registration include: 1. FinTech, 2. Biotech & Healthcare, 3. Green Energy & Environment, 4. New Retail, 5. Smart Manufacturing, 6. Digital Content & Platforms, 7. ICT, 8. Others.

6. The eligibility for student teams includes full-time students from universities and research institutions recognized by Taiwan's Ministry of Education (including day programs, night programs, credit programs, and master's/doctoral programs, excluding in-service programs), and they must have at least one advisor.

7. We encourage your school to motivate students to form teams and participate. The champion team will receive a cash prize of NT$50,000, and two winning teams will receive trophies. The champion and winning teams will also be eligible to join the NTU Innovation Center Incubator Program. The Economic Daily News will feature the winning teams in a full-page report, valued at NT$300,000.
