Taichung City Government – 2026 Summer Internship Program for College Students in Public Sector

1. To help college students in Taichung City prepare early for entering the workforce, the Labor Bureau has planned the “2026 Taichung City College Students Public Sector Summer Internship Program.” By providing summer internship opportunities, this program helps students gain work experience, support family finances, and enhance their career competitiveness.

2. Program Details:
   (1) Application Period:
   1. General students: March 23 – March 27, 2026
   2. Specific-status students: March 23 – April 2, 2026

   (2) Eligibility:
   1. Basic requirements: Must have been registered as a resident of Taichung City for more than 4 months and be currently enrolled in domestic universities or four-year colleges (first-year or above), two-year colleges (first-year students), or five-year colleges (fourth-year students). Excludes students who have not yet enrolled, graduates, open universities, adult/continuing education students, night school students, extended students, and graduate students.
   2. Specific-status requirements: In addition to the basic requirements, students must meet one of the following conditions and provide relevant documentation:
   - The student is disabled, from a low-income or middle-low-income household, or an indigenous student.
   - Parent(s) experienced a workplace accident between Jan 1, 2024, and Mar 23, 2026, and are still unemployed.
   - Child of a special-needs household or child who independently supports the family.
   - Parent(s) received unemployment benefits between Jan 1, 2024, and Mar 23, 2026, and are still unemployed.
   - Child of a domestic violence victim, child of a rehabilitated/protected person, or child of a long-term unemployed person.
   3. To provide more students with internship opportunities, each student may only participate once. Students who participated in 2025 or earlier are not eligible.
