📌 Fall 2026 UCAN In-Class Online Survey Schedule – Faculty Registration Open Until Oct. 30

【Purpose】

  1. This initiative is implemented in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s letter dated August 5, 2020, Ref. No. 1090114510.
  2. To effectively assist students in understanding their career development direction and encourage them to strengthen the competencies required for employment with greater purpose and motivation, the Ministry of Education launched the UCAN – University Competency Assessment Network in 2009.
  3. The assessment statistics will be used as data for reporting under the Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Sprout Project. To meet the project’s data reporting requirements, the Center will conduct UCAN assessments for first- through fourth-year students during the first semester of Academic Year 2026–2027. First-year students will complete the assessment during freshman orientation, while second- through fourth-year students will complete it during class meetings with their advisors or at other designated times.

After Class Advisors Complete the Survey Form

The Center will send a confirmation email to the class advisor once the appointment has been completed.
On the Assessment Day Our staff will arrive at the classroom designated by the class advisor in advance. The assessment will take approximately 20 minutes.

After Logging In, Select the Assessment Category

Assessment Categories (listed from top to bottom on the UCAN homepage):

  • First- and Second-Year Students: Career Interest Exploration; Workplace Core Competency Assessment
  • Third-Year Students: Career Interest Exploration; Professional Competency Assessment
  • Fourth-Year Students: Career Interest Exploration; Workplace Core Competency Assessment; Professional Competency Assessment

If you experience any login issues, please visit the Center’s website under “Career Planning (UCAN)” and complete the online “UCAN Assessment Issue Report Form” (🔗UCAN Assessment Issue Report Form), or scan the QR code shown below. Once the issue has been resolved, a notification will be sent to the student’s email address. The student may then complete the assessment independently.

5. UCAN Teacher Management Account

Class advisors, faculty members, and academic departments who need to access UCAN assessment results for student career counseling and career planning are encouraged to apply for a UCAN Teacher Management Account.

2. Email Application
Please provide the following information and send it to the Center at
easc@nqu.edu.tw:

  • Full Name (Chinese)
  • Degree Level (Bachelor’s / Master’s / Doctoral)
  • Department
  • Daytime / Continuing Education Program
  • Year of Study
  • Class

3. Notes:

  • Once the account has been created, a notification will be sent via email, after which the account can be used. Applications are accepted at any time, with no application deadline.
  • Important: UCAN assessment data may only be used for student career counseling purposes. Applicants may be held legally responsible for any improper use or misuse of the data.
