2025 2nd Round Overseas Study Dream / New Southbound Overseas Study Dream Program – University Selection Announcement (Closed)
1. Legal Basis
This announcement is based on the Guidelines for Subsidizing Universities and Colleges to Send Students Abroad for Study or Professional Internships issued by the Ministry of Education.
2. Purpose
(1) Overseas Study Dream Program:
Through international cooperation programs, the University selects and sends students to enterprises or organizations in countries outside the New Southbound region for professional internships (excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao). The University arranges internship organizations and fields, enriches internship courses, promotes the integration of academic learning and practical experience, and provides career and living guidance.
(2) New Southbound Overseas Study Dream Program:
The program selects and sends students to enterprises or organizations with development potential in New Southbound countries for professional internships. It aims to help students gain a deeper understanding of the culture, lifestyles, and social backgrounds of these countries, thereby facilitating future engagement, cooperation, and development.
3. Eligibility
(1) Project Director:
The Project Director must be a full-time faculty member of the University. One Co-Project Director may be appointed, who must be a full-time or part-time faculty member of the University.
(2) Participating Students:

Applicants must hold Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality, have household registration in Taiwan, and have been enrolled at the University for at least one semester. Students enrolled in domestic or overseas in-service programs are not eligible.

Applicants must meet the professional and language proficiency requirements specified by the University.

Students from other universities may also be selected to participate. Such students must provide a letter of consent from their home university approving their participation in the University’s overseas internship program while they remain enrolled.

Students must maintain their student status at the University throughout the overseas internship and may not take a leave of absence or withdraw from the University. Upon completion of the internship, students must report back to the University. Those who fail to comply will be required, in accordance with the administrative contract, to reimburse the subsidy received and repay the amount to the Ministry of Education.

Each applicant may receive this subsidy only once at each educational level.
4. Application Procedure
(1) Application Deadline:
By 5:00 p.m., September 1, 2025 (Monday). Project Directors interested in applying should complete the project proposal using the prescribed format and submit the Word file to the Employment Counseling & Alumni Services Center by the deadline. The Center will consolidate the proposals and proceed with the application after approval by the relevant department and college meetings.
(2) Pre-Application Consultation:
Faculty members interested in applying for this round are encouraged to contact the Center in advance to facilitate subsequent application procedures.
