1. Program Objectives
The National Science and Technology Council promotes the "Industry Innovation Talent Overseas Training Program" (X Talent, hereinafter referred to as "the Program"), which is implemented by the National Academy of Research Institutes, Science and Technology Policy Research and Information Center. The aim is to respond to the government's key industrial development policies and align with the national science and technology forward-looking strategies, selecting potential industry-university innovation seed talents to study abroad, acquire cutting-edge technological knowledge, innovative business models, and international strategic layouts. The hope is that the trained seed talents will apply what they have learned to domestic industries, assist in industrial transformation and upgrading, develop technological advantages and innovation capabilities, and strengthen Taiwan's competitive position in the global science and technology and industry landscape.

2. Target Audience
We seek highly motivated talents who are passionate about contributing to Taiwan's industrial innovation development, interested in overseas enterprises' forward-looking technologies, business models, and international strategies, proactive in expanding their networks, exploring unknown knowledge fields, and able to interact well with cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary professionals.

3. Application Qualifications

1) Nationality: Applicants must have Taiwanese nationality.

2) Age: Born on or after January 1, 1985.

3) Education and Experience: No specific restrictions, but applicants must have a solid understanding of the overseas enterprises and the required technical capabilities they wish to apply for, with development potential and self-challenge ambition. Applicants should provide detailed explanations and supporting documents during application.

4) English Proficiency: Applicants must be able to converse and express themselves fluently in English with native speakers in both academic and daily life settings. Proof of English proficiency must be provided during application, including one of the following:

• TOEIC score of 785 or above
• TOEFL ITP score of 543 or above / TOEFL iBT score of 72 or above
• IELTS score of 5.5 or above
• GEPT (General English Proficiency Test) Intermediate or above
• Note: If your English proficiency test scores were obtained before 2024, please take the test as soon as possible and submit the score report before the application deadline.

5) Applicants must be proactive, independent thinkers with good communication and teamwork skills, and willing to interact with professionals from different cultural and technical backgrounds. They should have a passion for contributing to Taiwan's industries with the knowledge they acquire.

6) Applicants who have participated in the National Science Council's industry-academia research linkage programs (e.g., Innovation Creation Program), R&D Result Incubation Program, Scientific Entrepreneurship Program, or Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incentive Program (FITI) are especially preferred.

4. Application Process

2) Please make sure to submit your application through the registration system before the application deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.

3) Fill in the required information in both Chinese and English according to the online system format, and attach relevant supporting documents.

4) Applicants must provide two references and enter their contact information in the registration system. The program office will request the referees to confirm the relevant details.

5) Once the online application is submitted, it cannot be modified. Please ensure that all information is complete and that all attachments are uploaded.
