The National Museum of Science and Technology 2025 Summer Internship Program, internal deadline on 4/21.

[Internship Target] Currently enrolled in high school, vocational school, or university (including graduate school) domestically or internationally, with a particular need or interest in museum management, science education, collections research, exhibition planning, and related practical training, may apply to the Public Services Department of this museum.

[Internship Period]

  1. The intern's working hours must not be less than 200 hours, and the internship hours can be accumulated across years. However, for cross-year internships, a new application must be submitted each year in accordance with the implementation plan. The internship should be completed before graduation; if there are special circumstances, the internship department may proceed with approval from the museum director.

  2. The intern's attendance hours are as follows:

    1. In principle, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The internship department may adjust the schedule according to needs, and attendance should be recorded either by sign-in or card swiping (as per Attachment 1).
    2. To accommodate business needs, the internship department may, under the principle of ensuring no less than 200 internship hours, regulate flexible working hours and rest periods for the intern, but appropriate rest time should still be granted in accordance with labor rest policies.

[Application Documents] Depending on the method of recommendation, different documents must be submitted, as described below:

  • For those recommended by the school, the application form, internship plan, and personal statement must be submitted.
  • For personal applicants, the application form, student certification documents, internship plan, personal statement, a teacher's recommendation letter, and the personal data collection, processing, and usage notice must be submitted.
  • For foreign applicants, proof of Chinese language proficiency is required.

[Application Method] Interested students should submit their application documents to this center by April 21 or directly apply to the Science and Technology Museum by May 5.

[Important Notes] Interns at this museum will not receive any remuneration (salary or stipend), accommodation, or insurance during their internship. Once confirmed for admission, interns must provide proof of student insurance from their school or provide proof of personal accident insurance. Students under 18 years old must also submit the "National Science and Technology Museum Internship Parent (Guardian) Consent Form" to complete the internship confirmation process.
