[Overseas Community Affairs Council] 📢 Reminder: Overseas Chinese Students Must Apply for a Work Permit Before Working
Overseas Chinese students, whether currently enrolled or graduated, must obtain a work permit before working in Taiwan.
-
Working without a permit may result in a fine of NTD 30,000–150,000.
-
During semesters, students may work up to 20 hours per week (excluding summer/winter breaks).
-
Work permits become invalid if the student suspends or withdraws from school.
-
Those who worked without a permit within the past 3 years may be disqualified from applying for certain jobs after graduation.
👉 Please apply through the Ministry of Labor before starting any job to avoid legal issues and protect your right to work in Taiwan.
