2023 Second Semester "Semester" Work-Study Program Application

【Ching Pao Hardworking Foundation】Attention for the Work-Study Program Application for the Second Semester of 2023

  1. Organizer: Ching Pao Hardworking Social Welfare and Charity Foundation.
  2.  Eligibility: Students from the first to fourth year (specialist fourth to fifth year) of college or university are eligible to apply.
  3.  Work-Study Organizations: Social welfare-related institutions designated by the Ching Pao Hardworking Foundation, including early intervention institutions and centers, active aging health centers, and elderly welfare institutions.   4.  Application Process:
  • The entire application process is conducted online. Please apply for an account, fill out your resume and application information, and upload supporting documents on the Ching Pao Hardworking Foundation's official website (http://www.prodiligence.org.tw) by August 31, 2023 (Thursday).
  •  Required documents for upload include:

      1. Mandatory:
         - Academic transcript for the current or most recent semester of the academic year 111 (officially stamped by the school).
         - Front and back of student ID or proof of enrollment (with the registration stamp of the first semester of the academic year 111; if the student ID does not have a registration stamp, provide proof of enrollment).
      2. Others (non-mandatory):
         - Proof of low-income or middle-low-income household within the valid period.
         - Teacher recommendation letter.
         - Proof of disability.
         - Certificate of Ching Pao Hardworking Scholarship.

  • The foundation reserves the right to accept or reject applicants. The final list of accepted applicants will be announced by the foundation.
  1.  Work-Study Period: October 2023 to January 2024. Part-time work, with a minimum of 4 hours per work session, at least 8 hours per week (maximum of 20 hours), and at least 32 hours per month (maximum of 80 hours). The actual work-study period and hours will be notified after acceptance.
  2.  Work-Study Salary: According to the basic hourly wage announced by the Ministry of Labor, NT$176 per hour. The work-study organization will also provide labor and health insurance coverage and contribute to labor retirement funds.
  3.  Work Content: Tasks may include administrative work, teaching assistance, teaching administration, care visits, etc. Please refer to the list of work-study organizations (available for download on the foundation's official website).
  4.  Responsibilities of Work-Study Students:

   (a) After the foundation's review and selection, students will be arranged for an interview with one of the designated institutions based on their preferences.
   (b) Once accepted, students are not allowed to drop out without a valid reason. Applicants must comply with the institution's requirements and submit health check reports and other relevant documents. After completing the work-study and a comprehensive evaluation of performance, the foundation will provide additional support for health check expenses.
   (c) Work-Study students must fulfill their job responsibilities. Without valid reasons, terminating the work-study, being absent from work without notice, or committing major violations will disqualify students from applying for this work-study in the future.
   (d) The first week of work-study is a probationary period. If the service attitude is unsatisfactory or the assigned tasks cannot be completed, the organization has the right to terminate the work-study and replace the student with the second-ranked work-study student.
   (e) Work-Study students must log in to the online platform system to write a reflection report (at least 800 words) before the end of the work-study period. The report should include (1) reflections on the work experience, (2) concepts and spirits gained from the work, (3) self-reflection, and (4) suggestions. Students are encouraged to create a 30-60 second video sharing their experiences and upload it to the Ching Pao Hardworking Facebook page for wider dissemination.
